I have had the same partner for 8 years . Had a smear 3 years ago came back negative. Had another just last month now positive for HPV. Does this mean he has cheated . I am how terrified in both HPV and whether he has cheated
I am not a doctor but I think hpv can remain dormant for many years. It could be in your system or his, be dormant, and for some reason it is coming out in your testing.
I'm in the same position as you. 3 years ago I was hpv negative, last month had a smear test and it's hpv positive. I'm with the same partner for an 8 years.
