Blood count

Hi I'm new to this support group and would like some advice on blood count readings and if I should be worried . I suffer from anxiety so this is reason I'm probably over worried. 

Ive had a blood test and my platelets are reading 510 and my last resting was 410 . Just had a phone call from my doctor and she is referring me to a blood specialist. Should I be worried .some advice or reassurance would be much appreciated

    I'm sorry about the anxiety the results of your blood test is causing. Having another chat with your doctor will hopefully help put your mind at ease but you're more than welcome to give our cancer nurses a call about this as well on 0808 800 4040. They're available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    In the meantime try to keep busy and distract yourself with pleasant pursuits to take your mind off this if you can, even if it's only for a short while.
