Hi best of luck for tomorrow, my husband had his kidney out on the 20th of June 2019, they couldn't do key hole as the tumor had enlarged his kidney so open surgery, he came home 5 days later and is doing really well, still gets tired (but could be the cancer that is sadly still some in the lung) but he had great care in hospital and is hoping to start targeted chemotherapy after the CT scan on Friday. He had general anaesthetic(for the kidney removal ) but they also put a epidural in for pain relief and that worked wonderfully as he could talk,eat and take notice of all the things going on around him without pain and no confusion as he was morphine free.
