feel bad for posting this as I’m yet to be  diagnosed with anything Serious yet . I’ve just Received my letter for my urgent referral which contain the cancer far to many times for my liking not to freak me out . So my story goes like this , I went to donate blood trying to do a good deed but when I when to the blood drive and had my iron tested they found out it was low and I should go to my doctors to get it checked out so I did but while I was there the doctor noticed a lump in my neck so as well as the blood test for iron he added an thyroid Function test as well , so I went back to the doctor to get my result (different doctor this time) who put me on iron tablets and folic acid tablets as I was low their as well . She then referred me for urgent scan on my neck but I waited and waited for 6 weeks and I didn’t hear anything so I phoned the doctors and as the doctor who first referred me wasn’t he they sent a 2nd urgent referral for the ear nose and throat department which came through yesterday but it’s only a Consultation and not a scan so chances are I’m going to have to wait even longer before I get a scan and get any idea if I actually have cancer or not but at least I might learn something on Wednesday but now I’m really worried that all this waited is going to make things a lot worse. Sorry about the long ramble don’t really want to talk to family yet until I know what’s going on
