Scared

Hi guys!

Ivr had a hard lump in my left breast for at least a month now. This month has been the worst month in my entire life, hence putting off going to my gp about it. Anyway, today I went to see my gp and she confirmed that there is a lump there and has referred me to the breast cancer clinic. I was hoping she'd say there wasnt a lump and it was all in my imagination. I'm so so scared! Btw I'm 35 years old, not sure if this makes a difference or not

  • Hi Unicorn_gem,

Firstly it's good to hear that you've been to see your GP. It's always best to get clear information and the tests will establish that one way or the other. It's important to note than 9 out of 10 breast lumps are benign. But whatever happens next you'll have support, including from many on this forum who have been through something similar.

If you'd like to find out more, including about what to expect next, please take a look at this link.

Do let us know how you get on, if you would like to of course.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
