Poorly dad

Hello everyone

My mum and dad live in Cyprus and I'm here in the UK.  My dad was diagnosed with cancer last October.  We thought he had had a stroke but they found a lesion on his brain.  They then found another two in one of his lungs later on a couple of months later one on his kidney and after radiotherapy chemo and a course of immunotherapy they found another in his liver so hes now back on chemotherapy.  When I ask him about scan results he is so vague..... and I dont have permission for the hospital to discuss further.  The frustration and worry is overwhelming.... any advice on how to cope ?  My mum is also very much in the dark her memory is atrocious so cant get reliable information from her unfortunately.

  • Hi there, just a suggestion but do they have cancer nurses to talk to as we have McMillan nurses here?  If Mum and Dad agree to give permission for you to talk to them they will give you the information you need, this will help you understand what's going on.  Good luck, Carol
