Waiting for tests

I had a biopsy core they called it took 4 samples of skin I had breast cancer in right breast 9 years ago it was 2 cm not spread to my lymph nodes but surgeon removed 4 lymph nodes then 4 weeks ago a lump appeared in my left breast tiny too  I went for my mammogram as it was due anyway waited 2 weeks was shocked letter said I had to go back to hospital for biopsies as 2 lesions was showing left and right I could not feel a lump in right went to hospital last Thursday they made a huge mistake never told me to miss my warfarin I’m on 6 mg which is high she had to clear it with a doctor a nurse had to keep pressing on the left where tumour was but she got the skin samples I then said the lette4 said biopsies but I think because of the warfarin they only did the tumour said it could be benign but she kept going under left armpit finally I said what’s going on one of your nodes is swollen as my tumour is tiny thought like last time it would not spread so soon as I googled it can be because of injury no or serious health problems like cancer there may be cancer cells there I’m worried sick said 7/14 days for results but when I went to clinic 9 years ago only got needle in lump met the surgeon he told me straight away nodes not affected and 3 weeks for operation X-ray department said they will call you I’m hoping I’m giving appointment to meet surgeon explain to me  have I cancer tissue in right etc I’m trying to keep myself busy but it’s stressful would appreciate a reply anyone who is going through this I wish them all the best possible results ty

  • I can't say anything about the tests etc. as I don't have any medical knowledge but I do know how stressful waiting is because I've done it. I had a few different tests & most have come back clear (1 test still to do). I was convinced I would get the worst news but thankfully didn't. It's likely things won't be nearly as bad as you fear & if you can try to keep busy doing all the norma, everyday things you normally do. Easy to say hard to do I know but it's important to make the time pass quickly - it only drags if you focus on the worst case scenario.

I'm sure someone who knows more about this than I do will be along to give you more advice/information.

Very good luck with your results when you get them
