Lower abdominal pain

I've been having lower abdominal pain for 4 months now. I was on the list to have ultrasound, after a month of waiting i finally had a abdominal and pelvic ultrasound. The results are clear. Now, I know somethings not right with myself.  So I'm wondering where I go from here. I have a few symptoms of pcos but the gp has nrver mentioned it to me (only thyroid doctor, endocrinologist, who treats me for overactive thyroid) I'm under so much stress about this pain. My day to day life has been affected so badly with it. I had a minor heart attack at the age of 34 (2 days before my 35th birthday). I'm now 36 and fear for my fertility. Any scans have been done via NHS, it's great it saved my life when I had the heart attack.  But this waiting for an urgent surgical assessment, which Is 9 months, will just be too much for me to cope with. I dispise that my health has turned on me in the space of a few years. If anyone has advice on what to do next or move forward appointments I would be grateful. Thanks.

  • Welcome to the forum Shellbop although I'm sorry for the reason you are posting.

You know your body better than anyone so if you feel something still isn't quite right then do go back to your doctor to explain this and see if there are any other avenues you can explore. You could try getting a second opinion from a different doctor as well.

Many of our members know how tough situations like this can be so hopefully you'll receive some words of support and advice from them soon.

    All the best,
