You are not dirty, that’s the first thing. Almost everyone who is sexually active will carry the virus but there is no test for men. Many, many people will have the virus and never know unless it is active at the time of testing.

There’s no way of knowing how you got hpv, but there’s no point in dwelling on that. You have it and you can get treatment for the abnormal cells although you will never get rid of the virus from your body. Some people carry it and never get abnormal cells but many of us do get these cells when our immune system hasn’t managed to clear them. 

The colposcopy will allow a close examination of your cervix and identify any areas of abnormal cells, and then these can be removed. You have low grade, so it should be a simple matter to get rid of them and you would be monitored then to ensure they don’t come back.
