Telephone appointments

For a long time I have been drinking 4-5 normal sized bottles of water a day. I only urinate 2-3 times a day. When talking to my HP I was told lucky you??.. I ended up in A&e last year after my Gp thought I was having a stroke but after a few tests I was told I was dehydrated. No reason for it. I then started to get 'scratching' like pain in my kidney area and when urinating quite smelly and colour of a strong apple juice. I was sent for an ultrasound last Saturday and rang GP today. Receptionist looked to see if doctor had seen scan then made me a telephone consultation. Should I be worried? Do they tell you 'bad' news over the phone?

  • Welcome to the forum Debidodo although I'm sorry for the reason you've joined us.

The mind seems to go in to overdrive when waiting for results but if you can, try not to overthink or read too much in to things if you can as it will only make you worry more.

Many of members have been in similar positions so hopefully you will hear about their experiences soon.

    Kind regards,
