I'm afraid there's no easy way round the waiting ... every one of us has been there .. and those feelings are normal ... but if you can try to keep busy it will help a tad ... l had 5 call backs over the years were I'd panicked on each one, though the first 4 were o.k ... 

Hold on , l know it's overwhelming... but try and wait till you know exactly were you are ... and what it is ..fingers crossed for you, let us know how you go ... Chrissie x

Thank you, Christie. It’s good to know I’m not alone. Was feeling terribly low earlier but then thought, I can’t possibly die from bum cancer - it’s too embarrassing and people might snigger despite themselves. My poor husband would be so cross. Will stay in touch x. Helen

Helen, this did make me laugh. I have rectal cancer, am 45 years old and I still make poop jokes. What can you do?!

I was similar in that I did not report the bleeding for about 6 months because life gets in the way and I was not in pain, so other things took priority. I did the FIT test then had a colonoscopy and straight away they were able to say that what they found looked 'iffy'. I could see it on the screen and concur it did not belong there. 
Anyway, MRI, CT, examination under anaesthetic took around 2 months in total and in the end confirmed that the iffy was cancer. The good thing is that I was already expecting this so I didn't fall off my chair when it was confirmed.

I start Chemoradiotherapy next week so onwards and upwards. I think I will feel a little rough this Christmas but I will be alive so yay me LOL
