thinking bout hpv thoughts please

Hi everyone

I would love to get some advice. I will start by saying that this started for me about 10 years ago. I'm 33 now so I was fairly young. My symptoms started off with just waking up with tonsil stones in my mouth and snoring heavily, which obviously I just ignored for along time. Then over the years I started getting numbness and burning around my face and neck. I did go to the doctors with this but they never really knew what it was. Then the longer it went on I noticed I was getting spells of talking to people and forgetting what I was talking about and some fuzziness in my vision. I stopped going to the doctors as I used to think they thought I was stupid and just everything I was saying you can't see it if you know what I mean. I've been very sill aswel because I haven't been to a dentist since I was 14. At the moment my tonsil has a big hole at the back and is almost a quarter in size and down the back of my throat. I sound like a man my voice has gone so deep and when I talk my bf and I hear my throat creaking when I finish my sentence. My mouth is always dry and I have a cherry size lump that moves around in my neck. I get bad ear pain and sometimes some deafness in the right ear which it is the same tonsil that has the problem. About a year ago I had a numb leg and ended up in hospital which they never found out why it happened but I also never bought up anything about my throat because I just don't want to feel like I did all though years ago. Where do I start when I see the doctor. I feel like I can't believe iv left it so long. Can anybody say if these symptoms sound anything like what they have had. Thankyou

  • Hello nikki85,

You're doing the right thing in considering seeing the doctor about these symptoms. When you see your GP, simply mention everything you have said here in detail as your doctor will want to know everything and it will help them make a diagnosis.

I hope you will hear from others here who have had similar symptoms and that they'll be along shortly to share their experience with you.

I hope your appointment goes well and that you get to the bottom of this soon.

    Best wishes,

  • Ask your GP for a referral to see an ENT - Ear Nose & Throat specialist. The rest of your symptoms sound anxiety related. Good luck x
