I got told I had a Bcc last Monday, just waiting to get appointment to get it cut out, I can't stop sleeping and feeling sick, don't know if it's a coincidence or something to do with it, just want it out my face x
I'm sorry to hear that you are having this worry. I recently had a lesion under my eye and one just above my ankle. I was referred straight to see the plastic surgeon to do an excision biopsy. I was terrified at the thought of getting surgery to my face. In both instances he removed a sizeable chunk, but I felt absolutely nothing. The stitches he inserted were tiny. The ones in my face were removed after a week and the one ones in my leg were removed after 2 weeks.
Unfortunately, I got an infection in the stitches on my leg and have been taking antibiotics and applying antibiotic cream to my leg since. I have just finished these tablets today and it looks as if it is now healing well. I am so relieved that if I had to develop an infection, it was on my leg and not my face.
Fortunately, they had expected the pathology results to indicate a malignant melanoma, but both areas were non-malignant. As to the scar on my face, I can no longer even see it.
