Fluid after lumpectomy

8 days ago had an area around 1 1/2” to 2” removed for DCIS pre invasive . It is still incredibly tender (glued) but no sign of infection just a feeling of heaviness and sloshing sound. I understand this is normal but how long should it go on for before absorbed?

  • H there

I had a mastectomy for DCIS in January and also had the sloshing/hot water bottle sounds which I found most unpleasant. That lasted about 3 weeks for me but was as you say, apparently normal.
