Hello
I am new to the forum so hello everyone! I thought I’d join as I’m struggling to come to terms with my boyfriends cancer diagnosis. He was diagnosed on 17 december 2018 with stage 4 gastric cancer which spread to his bowel. He’s only just turned 30! I’m trying the best I can to not let it affect me but don’t have an outlet to talk it through with anyone. My boyfriend doesn’t like to speak about it which is fair enough and he’s made it clear that I shouldn’t share my sadness on the situation with him as it upsets him more. My friends don’t really understand and my mum just talks as if he’s dying all the time so I’ve stopped discussing it. I’m 26 and this all happened so fast and changed things overnight. He is the love of my life.
He started chemo on 10 Jan and has had 6 cycles of FOLFOX so far - has a scan last week and has an appointment with the oncologist tomorrow to get the result, I’m so scared for him!
