 Good to meet everyone,

I was diagnosed yesterday after going to hospital for results of biopsy, further mammograms and ultra sound. I feel as if I have been hit by a truck, cannot stop crying, am terrified. Apologies in advance to ladies whose problems are far worse than mine, my lump is 4mm, yes, I know, size of a pea, but believe me, it has not made me feel any better, I already have a phobia about hospitals/any thing medical. I need advice, please, we are due to go on holiday in 2 weeks,has been booked for months, I have been told the operation should take place in 4 weeks, do I sit here crying, shaking, not eating, not sleeping  , or do I go away for 2 then come b ack to the operation, any advice or help PLEASE. Good to meet everyone.

    Hi there ...

    Welcome to the club no one wants to join but glad there's a "safe" place for us to come too ... now I know your in shock... we all were on getting that dreaded word told to us ... 

    But you know after the panic, join us in the cancer boxing ring ... get a lovely pair of pink boxing gloves and get ready to punch it's lights out ... it wants you to be scared of saying the name ... it wants you to stay in panic mode as it feels stronger then ... l know your really scared .. none of us felt any different ..

    Being brave is about feeling scared witless but still doing what you have to do.... that's brave ... so you can stay at home, cancel that holiday and cry the whole time ... or get those feelings out now ... then go and have the best time you can ... make it fun ... leave the thoughts of cancer at the airport and pick it up when you get back ... coz no amount of worry or panic will change any thing ... 

    There's lots of us breast lasses on here. . I had a grade 3 and masectomy in July 2017 ... l thought my number was up .. but you know things have come a long way and here I am nearly 2 years later chatting to you. . And lots of others joined in along the way here ... all scared at first .. but wer all in that boxing ring, doing everything to kick cancers butt ... I've got a tea shirt that says cancer touched my boob so I kicked it's ***....  so you go ... have that holiday ... come back ready to join in ... Chrissie xx

    Hi when you get start screen there is a blue line with 4 words in it touch (search) a bar opens type in (1cm lump left lower inner brest) touch symbol right hand side, should take you to string for you to read and reply. Good luck.

    It's not about being brave .... it's when your scared stiff , but you still do it any way ... that's brave without realising ... you can do this ...  l didn't know just how brave I was till l looked back ... it's not the hard nuts of life that think they are brave or maybe strong is the word ... it's those of us who thinks we can't do it .. keep in touch and let us know how you go ...

    Than k you for just being here, evertime any one is nice to me, I just howl, don't know what the poor nurses in pre op thought of me, hopefully they are used to it, have decided to go on holiday, mostly, thanks to you, luv Bertiann xx

    Hi there ...

    Just a memory you brought to mind ... my young son , 7 at the time had to have 7 teeth out by gas ... to put him out ... I stayed till he slept .. went out to the waiting room .. where I could hear every clank of his pulled teeth in the steal tray ... I went hysterical ... I cryed like a baby ... when the nurse came in she took one look at me, and went out again ... all she said was he's fine ... 

    So don't worry .. nurses are probly used to it .. ... so glad your going ... every time you hear those voices in your head trying to spoil that holiday ... just think of me, telling you you are stronger then you think .. and say over and over "I will do this"   

    Since my cancer diagnosis , l look at every day with new eyes ... l find something everyday to make me laugh .. if there's nothing that day to make me laugh ... l just look in the mirror. .  

    I can't wait to hear all about it , when your back ... I'll be watching ...  Chrissie xx

    Chrissie, just love your attitude to the whole horrible situation, hopefully I am so bad as it is all very new, just know I could not be a nurse, will keep you posted, luv Bertieann xx
