CIN 1

Hi. Im new to this site and only have a general question and was wondering if anyone has had the same experience. 3 years ago i had a general check up at the GP and it was discovered that i had an enflamed cervix so was sent for a colposcopy. They discovered CIN 1 which the doctors said could be controlled by the pill as it was probably hormonal and she would recommend i had a smear once a year to keep a check on this. The doctors wouldnt put me on the pill as ive been sterilised and when i went for an early smear the nurse told me that they probably wouldnt even look at it as it was before my due date. Stupidly i left it thinking they were right. I have now been refered back to gynocology as the pelvic pain i experienced before is back with a vengeance. Has anyone had this experience and has it developed into something more. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

  • Hello Bell2012,

Welcome to our forum. Sorry to hear about this pelvic pain you have been experiencing. It's good you have now been referred to gynaecology and I hope you won't have to wait too long for your appointment as it sounds like this pain is getting rather strong.

I hope you will hear from others who have been in a similar situation before and that they will be along soon to share their experience with you.

Fingers crossed you get a date for your appointment soon so that you can get some relief from this pain.

    Best wishes,
