Hello, I have stage 4 breast cancer along with brain, bone and liver cancer. I understand it is not curable but would chemo extend my life? I was living abroad and having chemo and since I moved back to the UK I am not.
A very warm welcome to our community, although I'm sorry for the reason that you're here. Have you spoken to a doctor about this since you arrived back in the UK? It would certainly be worth discussing this with your GP without delay.
Most of us on this site either have cancer or are nursing somene with cancer and, are not medically trained. There are some nurses on the site Mon-Fri, 9.00am-5.00pm, their number is at the bottom of this page and, it is free to phone this number. They should better able to answer your question.
How many sessions of chemo have you already had? I have seen a number of people on this site with grade 4 breast cancer, who are advised to have chemo to extend their life, but unfortunately, not to cure them.
