Hi just to introduce myself. I am 60 and have just had first general anaeshetic and parotid saliva gland and a couple of other dodgy glands removed. going to be having radio therapy in a few weeks time.

Thank you for sharing your story and I hope you are recovering well from your first general anaesthetic and surgery. We have some information on our site on the parotidectomy which might be of interest to you and which you can find on this page. I hope the radiotherapy treatment goes well and to help you prepare for it I thought I would also send you this information on what to expect from your radiotherapy sessions.
