Colour changing mole.

Hi all just looking for some advice and possibly anyone who's has had any experiences the same. I've had this skin blister looking mole for a few years it's just skin coloured however every few months it changes colour to a purplish, red black looking colour it last for a few weeks the  goes back to the same skin coloured blister mole it was before this had happened at lest 2 to 3 times a year. Anyone experienced this before.

  • Hi there,

i have what sounds like the exact same thing on my leg, I went to the doctors about it last year. After sending a picture of it to skin specialists she basically just said it was a benign, normal type of mole (it had a specific name but can’t remember it for the life of me!) it still does goes a black/red colour occasionally too.

However, I’d still recommend going to the doctor about it for peace of mind but hope my experience helped x

  • Hi Krpr,

As already advised, you need to get it checked it out by your GP as no one, especially members of this forum, can diagnose a lesion/mole from a photo. Hopefully it will be fine, especially as it keeps returning to it's original colour. If your GP is unsure, they should refer you to a dermatologist who will be able to make a diagnosis, so don't panic if they refer you. Good luck & let us know how you get on,

    Angie (melanoma patient)
