I need some advice ive got pain around my uthera now flanking pain in my back ... I have Rcvp one week ago should i phone my oncologist s its late .. Will it be ok to wait until 2morrow morning ??
I am sorry to hear you have got pain and a suspected kidney infection.
We have some information on R-CVP on this page and it does mention that you should contact your advice line urgently if you think you have an infection. I don't know if you were given an advice line and if it is open overnight but it might be worth trying it. You mentioned the possibility of ringing your oncologist and I am not sure what you agreed with your oncologist whether you are able to contact him/her out of hours but if it is too late at the moment for you to manage to speak to your oncologist and you feel you need medical advice now, do try and ring 111 for medical advice or if you feel you need urgent medical attention before tomorrow morning in this case you would need to call 999.
