Ovarian cancer worry.

hello guys, I know this isn’t as serious as other people’s posts on here but just want some guidance.

Im a 19 year old female, wanting to transition into a male. I keep getting achey, sore pains in my lower right side of abdomen,

low down in the corner where my belly ends. Aunties and cousins I have, have had ovarian cancer before, I know they’re much older but I’m unable to see a doctor until next week because I work every morning and this stupid gp practice only does urgent appointments in the morning. I don’t wanna go if it’s not serious but I have a severe form of health anxiety which causes panic attacks, I constantly worry that I have cancer, it debilitates my life. The pain came last night, lasted hours until I slept with my feet  up and bent, it feels like it’s in my pelvis or ovary, whwn I was 14, I was being tested for polycystic ovaries, so I’m not sure. Any help would be appreciated,

thanks!

  • Hello Sadsickboy,

I am sorry to hear you have been having all these symptoms and that they have exacerbated your anxiety. The best thing to do is to go and see your doctor about these problems.  When you are worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers on an online forum, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better and the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor.  So do make an appointment when you can to get it all checked out and make sure you mention to your doctor that you suffer from health anxiety as I am sure they will be able to help you with that too. Best of luck with your doctor's appointment and best wishes,
