Hi
My husband has been diagnosed with the above. His PSA was 1950 and has spread to the bones "everywhere" according to the oncologist. The oncologist has said average is 18 months. My husband has undergone hormone therapy monthly and so far 6 rounds of chemo therapy. We see oncologist on 8th March to see if he should have more chemo. My husband's PSA is now 24. He has improved so much since the period May - October 18 when he was so ill lost 2 stone and couldn't walk from the lounge to the kitchen. He had a bout of sepsis in October but since starting hormone and chemo therapy he has improved so much.
It is like living with a time bomb though. we are trying to make the most of it by going on weekends away when he can between chemo as he is literally wiped out for a week. We booked a trip to Florida before all of this was diagnosed and oncologist says we should go, due to go in May. He has taken everything in his stride with no complaint and says "what will be will be" he reads little about his illness so relies on me to say if things are right or wrong.
Anyway that is me and my husband thought we would introduce ourselves.
