Hello everyone, I'm so glad this forum exists and would like to introduce myself.  In September 2018 I had a mastectomy undertaken at a local NHS hospital in Glasgow. The operation was a huge success and done within two weeks of my discovering a lump in my right breast. About two or three weeks later I developed what I'm told is a seroma, quite a large "lump" where the breast used to be. That would have been in November last and it isn't going anywhere!  I had it drained a couple of times, producing about a litre and a half of fluid each time but it very quickly filled up again. The next therapy I was offered was radiotherapy which I had for two weeks on a daily basis, weekdays only of course. It was decided to leave the seroma exactly as it was during this therapy and it is fairly solid now  

I have two questions which I hope someone can answer - firstly the seroma. I am wearing a bra, one I used to wear prior to the surgery, but the seroma is too big to be neat. My previous bust size was 36C.  The left one fits nicely but the right one is more a DD size.  Do these things last for ever or will it eventually be absorbed into the body?  

The second question concerns the radiotherapy after effects. As I said it happened in November last and I am still getting days of total weariness.  My daughter said I had lost my sparkle and that's exactly how it feels.  Has anyone else felt like this 3/4 months later?
