Hi Everyone, discovered a lump...was sent to breast clinic by gp.Had a physical exam, mammogram and ultrasound. Was told I had not one but two lumps that were harmless cysts.,btw the cysts didn’t show on mammo.Happy days ...off I went...with a load lifted off me...Slept well for first time in weeks....two days later got called back for a diagnostic mammo.rang the clinic to ask why when I had been told everything was good.was told calcifications had shown up but they are very common so don’t worry.Really.almost two weeks later had magnification view mammo. The radiologist looked at them and then I was asked to go back in for two more shots to be taken and was told that she(the radiologist) would make up her mind then. After about 10long minutes radiographer came back and said they look benign...they are linear...but Radiolagist wants you to have a biopsy....normally you would just be monitored but she wants a biopsy done.I could see the screen myself....it did indeed look linear with a small cluster at end of it...anything I’ve read would indicate that it could quite possibly be early stage cancer. But if it “looks benign”why put me through a stereotactic vacuum assisted biopsy and I was told they were going to put in a marker as well!!my biopsy is tomorrow.Im very very anxious....more so to just get it over with...I hate mixed messages and the very little information I was given.has anyone experienced this??thankyou for reading xxx. PsIm 55 years old.
