I had a smear a ten days ago and have just had a letter to say it was abnormal and I’m being referred for a coloscopy and will get an appointment letter shortly. I’ve never had an abnormal smear befor but this one was 6 months over due. I thought the usual process would be another smear before anything else?
I am 35 and worried sick as I’ve just changed jobs.
