i have had reccurant lumps for approx 1 year in both my armpits (I’ve always suspected cyst’s). These have come and gone so I’ve never gone to the doctors. I had a new one come up on Friday and it immediately panicked me as it slightly more towards the breast than the others. So Monday morning rolled around and I managed to get a cancellation appt for 5pm the same day. As suspected she has referred me to the breast clinic under the two week referral. As well as the lump that appeared on Friday there is a lump deep in the crease of my armpit that I am ashamed to say has been there months and I just put down to having my arm under my pillow and sleeping with my weight resting on the arm which consequently pulled something there. Which after thinking now I am horrified that I didn’t go to the doctors sooner. I am only 23 so I know the chances are slim, however I’m heavily over weight and I smoke so I am just terrified. I haven’t eaten properly/had an appetite since friday, I am constantly getting stomach pain (which I know is from the anxiety) and I just can’t stop thinking about dying and leaving my husband. The doctor said she would put in m referral today as my address was incorrect on the system yesterday so I have what feels like a very very long wait ahead of me until the breast clinic.
