Introduction

Hi

I am 58 and have grade 2 invasive ducal breast cancer. The good part is the tumour and (hopefully all ) precancerous cells have been removed. Unfortunately this inludef my nipple and a chunk of my breast. But to be positive I might be cancer free. Praying for good results on my lymph nodes which I should receive towards the end of next week

  • I noticed no-one had replied to your post yet Deb so I just wanted to stop by and offer you a very warm welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry about your diagnosis but I'm glad to see that things are heading in the right direction on your journey. [@Jbains]‍, [@yorkshirelass52]‍ and [@annadude]‍ have all had this diagnosis so will know what you're going through at the moment and hopefully they will reply soon to offer their support and share their experiences with you.

Keep us updated when you can Deb and I'll have everything crossed for good results next week.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • thanks Steph. I suppose I didn’t ask a question.... nice to be welcomed though. It’s the waiting that’s hard

  • Hey DebP. Welcome to this chat.

I was just about to turn 50 when I got diagnosed initially with grade 2 invasive ductal cancer. The good thing is your on the radar and being treated. It will be ok - you got this.

It is a bit of a tough journey but lige throws us these curveballs because we have the strength inside us to deal with it. This chat sure was and still is my saviour. So do feel you are free on here to vent or cry or moan or whatever you feel. We are here to support not judge.

I do hope your results are good and please do keep us posted. Do things you enjoy doing and listen to your body. That is very important and will help with recovery. We have a thread on here "the good and bad" and we discuss absolutely anything and everything so have a read. I am more than happy to answer any questions I can. Take it easy.
