Lump in neck fears

Hi all, I'm not sure if this is an appropriate please to post this but i am desperate for some reassurance or advice. I dont want to seem disrespectful to anybody who has received a diagnosis and going through treatment. I have recently noticed a lump in the front of my neck. I have had tonsilitis recently.  However this lump is above my collarbone. I went to the drs who have referred me for an emergency ultrasound. She asked me questions to see if its my thyroid which she said it doesnt appear to be nor does it seem to be related to my tonsilitis. Now the word emergency has got me absolutely terrified. Of course i have done the thing everyone says not to and have googled it.

I'm sorry to hear that you noticed a lump on your neck but I'm glad you took action and went to see your doctor to have this checked.

After such a scare it's natural to feel a bit anxious but try to focus on other things if you can. If this proves difficult though, feel free to phone our cancer nurses and ask any question you might have. They're available on this phone number 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    Best wishes,
