New to forum

hello everyone

my first post as I’m currently awaiting the results of a ct colonoscopy & I’m enduring horrendous anxiety since I was advised this morning that the hospital need to write to my GP with their findings. I know this is probably a standard procedure but the nerves have really kicked in. Plus I’m still suffering with the symptoms on a daily basis that have lasted for many many months.

Can anyone assist and confirm my understanding that it is standard procedure and would they have contacted me direct if it was cancer ? I had the ct scan on 20/1 so it’s not that long in terms of a wait.

Apologies for rambling but I have no other place to ask these questions

kindest regards

  • Hi i'm new here too. I got my biopsy 8 days ago, got a phone call 2 days later to go to hospital next day so i knew the news wasn't goona be good. Since then i've had all the ct scans ( yesterday )  with an appointment to discuss surgery. Just to say i hope your news is better than mine + the time lapse is a good sign. Good luck hope your ok

  • Hi Einna,

Many thanks for your reply it’s really appreciated. I hate the whole situation really and questioned myself getting through it. Lost both parents so it’s very much a case of being on my own so it’s nice to be able to air my concerns.

Really hope you have positive news regarding your surgery. I suppose once a treatment plan is in place then you can start to look forward.

    Thank you once again.

    Kind Regards,

    Michael
