Dont know if cancer is ocurring in me!

Hi all, this my story started with an X-Ray in Luxembourg back in 2017. There i was told that there was something wrong with my Lungs and i had to take a Thorax CT-Scan, which i did, and i showed 4 nodules, then after 3 months i did the CT-Scan again, and showed that there were more nodules, then i did the PET Scan, and it showed 4 nodules highly metabolic considered as neoplasias, until otherwised proof the opposite, then the next day i did the Lung Needle Biopsy. After 5 days or so, on Dec 05,2017 i got the results, and they were: Cryptococcosis, something that i had never heard of before in my life, anyways, since then i been on antifungal meds, Fluconazol 400mg/day, and then i had to reduced it to 200mg/day, til now, on and off. Last year i moved to the Basque Country, Spain, and here i continued my treatment for Pulmonar Cryptococcosis, and here on my last Thorax-Abd-Pelvic CT-Scanner, showed very ambiguous results, it says that i have nodulations on both lower lobe lungs, but doesnt specify how many or sizes....My especialist calmed down.

However, going back on time, after i had my Lung Needly Biopsy, right after one month of taking my medication (Fluconazol 400/day) i started to have heart pain, pinching, that i end up 5 times in the ER. then i reduced my dose to 200mg/day, til now, but still, sometimes i have Chest problems, i feel sharp pains in my chest, sometimes i feel like pop-corn in my thorax, Moreover, lately i am having these crisis everyday, for 3 hours or so.

Sometimes, i doubt that i have Pulmonar Cryptococcosis, and i think the worst.

Please, anybody that can shed some light on to this, my health problem. Thank you in advance and God bless you all!

Chavi

  • I'm sorry for what you've been contending with over the last couple of years Chavi.

If you still have doubt in your mind about what you've been told and are worried about the chest pains you've been having recently then it would be best to go back and see a doctor about this. If you're not happy with your current doctor, maybe you could try seeing a different one to get a second opinion on your situation.

Hopefully some of our members will be along soon to offer their thoughts as well.

    Kind regards,

  • Thank you Steph,

i am thinking latelly on 2 things:  Liquid Biopsy and a Chest IRM. i live in Spain now, and unfortunally i have to follow the State health systeme here, my GP is testing for a parasite called Tripanosoma Cruzi, which the results will come any day, maybe tomorrow the 22nd. Otherwise, i have to fight to the best of my knowledge....
