I had a cancerous tumour in my colon

Hi - I had a cancerous tumour in my colon 6cm long that needed cutting out and they told me that I would need a colostomy bag fitted afterwards ( which I was not happy about) but as my lungs were very bad they refused to operate as they thought I would die on the operating table. So I opted for 5 very large targeted Radiation doses  -  being fired very acuratelly at the tumour through a mask. The treatment was very easy - I had a Scan - then I turned up every morning for a week (having just drunk 2 litres water - to stop my bladder getting hot.) - and this painless treatment was excellent, and shrunk the tumour almost immediatelly. - The after effects are bad diarreha but I found that if I avoid pulses and eat my main meal every day at 12,30 - instead of 6.30pm  and also treat myself to a couple of 'Blue Niles' every evening it helped me overcome this completely.(It takes time of course)

I am now 9 months post 'Radio therapy' and very happy with life (Thank goodness I had bad lungs.) - The remedy I suggest for the Diarreah comes about because I went on holiday after my Therapy to Cornwall and the Diarreah dissappeared completely for my holiday period and the only things I did differently was to eat my main meal Mid-day (The restaurant close at 4pm) and I would pop in the pub every evening for a 'Blu Nile'.

(Note. A Blue Nile' is a half pint glass with a shot of whisky in -then topped up with lemonade and a dash of Lime.) I am so delighted because the diarreh was driving me mad and very distressing for me Some may feel I am posting this to be humourous - this is not so - I found Diarreah very trying and I am so delighted to pass on anything that will help others. - John.
