hi to all
im new to forum,I have been going through an absolute nightmare with my prostrate cancer treatment options for almost two years now , starting with the dianosis then having biopsis that developed into sepsis and the horror i expierenced with the refusal of the ambulance switchboard to accept that my sepsis was serious enough to saction a ambulance for me, then the nightmare of being left in a emergency general ward with constant new arrivals day and night were by no one could possibly get any sleep with the constant noise and full lights on 24 /7, ended up waiking out of the ward with a very high temperature and very ill only then being offered a bed in the urology dept, where i eventualy recieved the correct anti biotics! i eventualy fought off the sepsis after another week in hospital.
I then asked to be referred to a nhs hospital that could offer me the hifu treatment that i considered would be the best way forward to me for my cancer, only to find out almost a year later, whilst waiting to hear anything at all that the hospital i had been referred to has lost my referal papers!!!! I have now rectified this throught pals and am waiting for a new scan to see if i am still at the appropiate stage of cancer developement to enable the hifu treatment to go ahead.
Needless to say im very upset by the treatment i have received by the national health service and wonder if anyone can offer me any advice on how to deal with this wholely unacceptable situation. Peter
