Lymphoma

Hi.

I am on my second wait for my tests.  I have a painful

lump that is in breast and underarm. I was seen by the

hospital within two weeks. Had a biopsy. Scan etc.

Now I had an appt 31st Dec. I been told I have to

wait another few days. As they suspecting lymphoma

or a nasty infection.  I’m in so much pain. I am so confused and trying to keep busy. But this wait is killing me.  Is anyone been through this

    Hi Babita,

I stopped using dietary suppliments, as I could lose weight with them, but put it back on again as soon as I started to eat normal food. My hubby did the classes with me and we have both lost a lot of weight.

We are probably eating just as much, but are eating the right foods and the right combination of foods. We eat more fruit than we did before and were advised to eat something every 4 hours. We were also told never to skip breakfast and, both of us were guilty of doing this.

Yoga is good exercise, but you possibly need to do a faster exercise like circuit training to shift the weight.

I hope you find that Slimming World helps you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Thanks. I’m going back to the gym x. I’ve cut down

on the sugar. Bread slimming world would help.  I

    got the slimfssts too. Xx.

  • Hi there,

I’m also in a similar situation to you where I have a few swollen glands in the left side of my neck (one is huge) and pain in my left armpit and breast, I’m worried I could also have something like lymphoma. Although I can’t feel any lumps on my armpit, it feels very sore and almost feels like I have a lump there?? I have had an ultrasound recently on my neck and the radiographer while she was doing the ultrasound said it looks normal but says there’s a few swollen glands. I know swollen glands can be caused by lots of things like infection but I don’t have any cold/flu symptoms and haven’t had any for the past 2 months (this problem started a month ago)

i know this post isn’t very recent so I was wondering what your latest diagnosis was. I really hope it was just a nasty infection and nothing more! Please let me know

    Rani xx

  • Hi jolamine.

To be operated on breast and armpit a major op   Worried sick and also in so much continued pain all I got is cosine for pain

    Hi Babita,

It is good to hear from you again, although I wisah that you had better news.

I am glad to hear that you made it to your son's graduation and, hope that you all enjoyed the day.

What are the plans for your surgery - lumpectomy or mastectomy? I had a lumpectomy 10 years ago and a double mastectomy with 6 lymph nodes removed 9 years ago. It was all much easier than I expected, so please try not to worry too much about your operation.

Have you been given any indication about how long you'll have to wait for your operation? I can appreciate that Codeine doesn't control your pain well at all. Hopefully, you will feel much better after you have your operation.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
