Mom just been diagnosed

Hi everyone,

My 75yr old mom has just been diagnosed with lung cancer, we're awaiting  PET scan and biopsy to establish what exactly we're dealing with regarding treatment etc. 

I am completely lost and side swiped by this, growing up there was only ever my mom and I, we're very close and I'm struggling with how I'm feeling at the moment!

I'm a "fixer" by nature, and always the one people turn to for a solution so am completely out of my depth!

    Hi Lizzy,

    i was always the fixer too, but now I need to be fixed.

    Im really sorry to hear about your mum, but my dad survived four bouts of cancer including lung cancer. All i can say to you is what others have said to me, and it’s so hard to do - but hang on and keep hoping.
