Hiya im sandy in the past 6 weeks ive been diagnosed and had a kidney removed after finding i had cancer by accident on a ultra sound, i cant get my head round things as i wasnt unwell and i feel like its happening to somebody else, i get my results on monday to see if they got all the cancer but im now starting to go stir crazy at home after upsetting my wound after having flu, im glad i can rant on here as i think nobody gets how im feeling, i hope you are getting all the support you need

Wow that's a whirlwind 6 weeks you've had! Sorry you've had to go through all that! 

I totally understand not being able to get your head around it and feeling like it's happening to someone else. I felt and still feel like that a bit. Though I have felt that bit of mental distance has helped me reframe it all as a bad virus that's being treated. It might sound silly but it's made it seem more treat able and easier deal with.

Also get the going stir crazy at home. Never thought I would miss working so much! Feel like I've watched the entire contents f Netflix already! I know it's hard waiting for results but try to keep yourself distracted doing  things you enjoy until Monday. I agree these forums are a great outlet though, seeing that others have had similar experience's and kept going really helps!
