Hi my name is sezsez I've just joined my dad has cancer and would be nice to talk to people that I don't really know coz when I talk to family I just get upset
Welcome to our forum, although I'm sorry for the reason that has brought you here.
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Can you tell us a few details about him? It would be helpful to know his age, your age, how long he has had cancer, when he was diagnosed, what type of cancer he has. Is he in hospital or at home, what grade and stage are his cancer and, how many of you are at home to support him? A lot of questions I know, but it all helps people with the right experience to come forward and talk to you.
I hope that, with the passage of time you will manage to talk to family without getting upset, as it is so much easier for all of you if you can talk openly to one another. Many people find this difficult to start with, but it comes with time.
We are all here for you in the meantime and have first-hand experience of how upsetting this can be.
