Hi everyone,

my name is Graham, and I'm 61. I lost both my parents to cancer, my mum was just 47. As the eldest child I was the one who had to sort everything out after the deaths, and it wasn't easy, emotionally. I personally don't have cancer, as far as I'm aware but I do have a lot of experience chatting and listening to people who unfortunately do. I hope I might be able to be of some small benefit to this forum, thanks for reading.

  • A warm welcome to the forum, Graham.

I'm so sorry to hear that you lost both of your parents to cancer.

After all that you have been through it's very kind of you to have decided to join Cancer Chat and offer to share your experience with those who may need it, so a big thank you for all of us!

    With best wishes,

    Hi Graham,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of both your parents to cancer.  What type of cancer did they have? I too have lost both of my parents, several relatives and close friends to cancer and have had 2 bouts myself within the past 8 years.

It is so kind of you to offer us  your time and the benefit of your experience on Cancer Chat. There are so many people here who are struggling with the emotional aspects of diagnoses, surgery, treatment and fear of the unknown. I am sure that your input will be invaluable.

I look forward to hearing more from you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
