Living with cancer

i was diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer last year and have had a hysterectomy and mastectomy this year. Talk about tiredness.....it's so frustrating not being able to do what I used to be able to do but rest is the best option.  Hopefully I'm on the road to recovery....

  • As I noticed you didn't have a reply to your post yet I just wanted to pop here to say hello and welcome to Cancer Chat, Jax296.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer last year and that you had to go through a hysterectomy and mastectomy. As you said, hopefully recovery will come soon!

I think your words will echo with many of our members here who have had a similar experience and I hope that very soon some of them will stop by to share their experiences with you as chatting does seem to help.

Stay strong, Jaz296 and remember that we're always here to listen.

    Warm wishes,

    Hi Jax,

This really is a double whammy!

I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer since 2010 and have had a lumpectomy followed by a double mastectomy.

How long ago is it since you had your operations? Tiredness was one of my major concerns. I agree that it's frustrating not being able to do what you're used to doing, but please listen to your body and take a nap if you need it. Remember, that although you may look fine on the outside, you have had 2 major operations and you still need rest to heal on the inside.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
