I am on my 2nd lot of Breast Cancer. In both breasts now. First time was when I was 40, 25 years ago and now have it again.

Two mastectomies and awaiting second reconstruction next week.

Letrozole has a lot to answer for. Not been myself since I started it in April.

Side effects consist of shakiness, constipation (and the opposite at times), sensitivity in my under arms and upper arms, itchiness, but the worse is the sleeplessness and terrible hot flushes. Also get depressed, have thinning hair, lost weight and night cramps in my legs and feet.

I went away for a week and did not take deodorant with me and did not use any to see if it would stop the sensitivity in my arms and underarms. It worked, I only had two hot flushes in the week. On returning used my roll on deodorant and back came the severe hot flushes, sensitivity and itchy arms. I am testing it again now to see if by not using deodorant is the answer and two days on have only had 2 hot flushes and arms are fine. Feel there might be something in this. I sincerely hope so as I have to be on Letrozole for 5 years.

If anyone has found the same with deodorant, please let me know.

Was beginning to feel quality of life was better than this but will perservere for now.
