I am a retired Australian who lives in Asia.
About 4 weeks ago I suffered a bowel blockage and after severe pain and vomiting was diagnosed with bowel cancer and underwent surgery that day.
My surgeon and oncologist have expressed satisfaction with the outcome but want me to undertake chemotherapy and radiology treatment at a larger provincial city 200kms away, even though the procedures appear to be available locally. Is this normal?
Part of the problem is a complete lack of support organisation in my language so I'd like to get some opinions here.
