Itchy skin

Hi. I have been treated for a type of leukemia since April this year. The treatment seems to be going well but the one thing which really gets me down is itchy skin especially on my back which I believe has been caused by the different types of chemotherapy I have been having. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can use to ease it. It drives me nuts at times.

    Hi Weatherbonce,

    I am surprised that your care team haven't advised you of what to use.

    I have had two bouts of breast cancer and bilateral lymphoedema. I find that my arms get really itchy due to wearing elastic compression sleeves and compression bras. I have been prescribed Eurax cream, which helps to reduce the itch. I have also been advised to apply emollients regularly.

    You would be best to check with your care team first to ensure that this won't react with your chemo treatment.
