Hi 

25th of last month i was told i have 2nd stage breast cancer...i am now waiting to see what Chemo i will be having from the Oncologist - seeing her on the 23rd of this month.I am 5o on the 15 th of this month - one to remember in so many ways!  Like you i have never been ill but this has knocked me for 6!......but with a strong family and friends network of support i know i will kick this in the butt!....keep strong and smile even when you dont feel like it - stay positive - you have the cancer - it doesnt have you xx

thank you for your reply D, good luck on the 23rd but for now try and enjoy your birthday.  I've been in a bit of a daze since Friday but this website has helped a lot (I've been on it most of the day)

We will kick it in the butt!  Nothing is going to make me miss seeing my children grow up so I'm ready for a fight, whatever it takes!

Hi Rachel. I am new to this also having been diagnosed with grade  3 breast cancer in the 8th of August. I am also 42 years old, and my tumour is sizes with yours also. I meet oncology team tomoz  it been told I have chemo to shrink it then surgery then radiotherapy.  I am hoping this forum helps with inspiration and advice. Good luck to you in your fight xxx

Hi, thank you for your message, I should find out tomorrow what stage I’m at but feel like I just want to know now so I can move forward.  Please let me know how you get on, it sounds like we’re in the same boat.  It’s sort of comforting to know I’m not alone in it all and have found the chats help, especially the good and the bad thread.

Yeah i feel we defo have a lot of similarities in our story and age etc. I too am terrified and my emotions are up and down all the time but mainly I wanna get on with treatment and kick it's ***.  Please let me know how you get on tomoz and I will do the same. We can do totally do this .....

We sure can!  Let’s do it together, show it what we’re made of!  I’ll update tomorrow when I hopefully have my results back.

So you have another agonising wait....That sucks

I start treatment on 29th aug. Triple negative breast cancer so that's not great but still treatable and curable so that's good enough for me. Keep me posted on your progress and take care x
