Hi! I'm a 57 year old female who had a lobectomy or my lower right lobe in January, 2018. Six months later I'm still having issues such as pain and fatigue. Is this still normal? I know it was major surgery but will it ever get better?

Hello AthenaS and welcome to Cancer Chat
How unfortunate that you are still having issues with pain and fatigue following a lower right lobe lobectomy. As you say it was major surgery and I hope you recover from it quickly. We have some information on our website about problems after lung surgery which you can read here and feeling tired and weak is mentioned as one of the issues often encountered as well as long term pain.
It is important to let your doctor or specialist nurse know about any problems you have after your surgery so that they can help you so don't hesitate to get in touch with them and I am sure they will be able to help you.
I hope you will also meet others here who have had a lobectomy and that they will tell you how long it took them before they felt better. I thought I would share [@Kj1234] 's thread with you and I hope that you will get to connect with other members and share lobectomy experiences.
Our nurses are also available on this free number if you live in the UK 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm so don't hesitate to give them a call if you have any questions on the recovery process following a lobectomy.
Wishing you a full and speedy recovery.
Best wishes,
