One year in!

I was diagnosed with BC last May aged 56 and had a left sided mastectomy with sentinel node removal  and 6 X chemo after oncotype testing in the States.  Finished last October.  Have been back at work full time now since the end of January and I can honestly say that I am beginning to feel optimistic and am putting it all behind me.  Now on anastrazole for ten years and a bisphosphonate for three.  Menopausal symptoms are manageable so I guess I am one of the lucky ones!  I didn't post during my treatment but kept a journal and enjoyed looking on the various forums just to find out if what I felt was normal.  Of course it was!!!! My younger sister was diagnosed in March this year and is halfway through her chemo after a lumpectomy. Going through the referral process for genetics but think each NHS trust must have its own rules ....... Happy to be here and look forward to joining in the chats!!!  Let's go girls!!
