adenocarcinoma

Hello,

New to the group and just diagnosed with lung cancer.  I am preparing for recovery for lobectomy.  I have heard many people mention that they sleep in a recliner for a while after surgery.  I am wondering if I should invest in a comfy chair. Any thoughts?

thank you,

Sara M.

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat Sara although I'm sorry to read that you've been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma.

I know you're wanting to hear from others so I've had a quick look around the forum and wanted to put you in touch with [@Shakti13]‍ and [@Luna85]‍. Shakti13's dad has stage 4 lung adenocarcinoma and Luna85's mum has metastatic adenocarcinoma so they may be able to offer some insight on what they have done to help their parents be comfortable and let you know whether it's worth investing in a comfy reclincer chair whilst you recover from your lobectomy.

It may be worth discussing this with your medical team as well as do get in touch with them if you can to see what they would suggest.

I wish you all the best with your lobectomy and recovery when the time comes Sara.

    Kind regards,
