I don't know what you had your biopsy for, so it is hard to say when you should get your results. The return time for some cancers varies from others.

It is always a worryng time waiting for biopsy results. If you've been waiting for 3 weeks for results, they should be here soon. It might be worth phoning your consultant's secretary to see if they're through yet. Please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

I had a biopsy at Dermatologist for a very small mole like thing. About 2mm diameter. But it was new so wanted it checked out.

Hi,

I'm waiting on my results too, nearly 2 weeks now. The doc told me it could take up to 6 weeks or more, way too long, mad. Any suggestions on how to relax ? Thanks

A very warm welcome to the forum. I am so sorry to hear that you are at this awful stage of waiting for results too. Is this also for dermatology? This tends to be one of the longer waiting times. Try to keep yourself occupied to take your mind off the wait. If you can concentrate on reading do this, listen to music, do a handiwork project or even do a jigsaw - this is good if you find it difficult to concentrate, as you can always go back to it. Practicing mindfullness is also helpful. 

Whatever you do, steer clear of the internet, as you will only increase your anxiety. Please let us know how you get on and, remember that we are always here for you.

Hi, it's for dermatology. It took me a 2 months to get it removed because of the pandemic. Thanks very much for replying! I'll keep you posted.

Did they give you any idea of how long it was likely to take to get your results when you had the biopsy? - It always pays to ask at the time. I hope that it doesn't take too long, as this is always an anxious time.

I have been waiting for my Colonoscopy Biopsy results for just over 3 weeks now. 

It's an anxious wait but hopefully you will have some answers soon :)
