My name is Kayla. I decided to join this forum to hopefully make some friends. On april 7th 2017 my dad was dignosed with acute myeloid leukemia. It's turned my family's world upside down. I'm hoping to talk to others who understand what my family is going through. I have friends who are supportive, but i feel it isn't the same if that makes sense. I look forward to meeting everyone.

    im June and 3 weeks ago we were told my daughter has secondary ovarian cancer and has weeks/months left.

    Hi there Kayla , and welcome to our little chat room ...  There are lots of different peeps on here ... With various cancers, or looking after someone with it ... 

    It effects everyone and this is a great place to put down feelings and have a vent on bad days and a high 5 on good ones ... so any time you need it, wer here ... I'm a breast cancer lady but I hope someone who knows more about your dad's cancer will pop on soon ... Though whatever one it is we all have a lot of the same emotions ...

    Juned .... So sorry your in such a heartbreaking time ... As a mum of two and nanny to 7 , I can't imagine how you must be feeling ... Though my youngest has diabetes since he was 14 and I've nearly lost him a couple of times with severe hypos ...  They are always our babies and from one mum to another I send you a big hug .... Chrisie xx
