Hello, just want to introduce myself. I have just recently completed a course of radiotherapy after chemo. Trying to get back to a semblance of normality. Struggling and worrying on the inside, everyone thinks I should be "fine" now that it is over. But it never will be will it.

  • Give yourself time. You won’t be ‘fine’ for some time yet. Your body has taken a beating in terms of what you’ve had to do to get this point. What other people do, want, say or think is irrelevant, this is about you getting your life back into the kind of order you can deal with. You are going to worry, any one who has had this horrible disease does, particularly if a scan or a test is due, the what ifs kick in and take over if you can’t control them and that’s hard. Look after you, after treatment ends, some people struggle with feeling alone with ‘it’. On this site, you aren’t alone.
