Help..

Hi

please does anyone have any positive stories or useful information about terminal oesophageal cancer that has spread to liver and lymph nodes?

My husband of 11 weeks is in the middle of his fourth cycle of chemo and is losing positivity.

I am finding it hard to cope (but haven’t told anyone)

thank you

  • Hello Lucy J and welcome to the group here although I'm sorry for what you are going through that brought you here. I wish I knew some positive stories and useful information about terminal oesophageal cancer but hopefully someone else here will. I know this is a hard time for you, as I remember how hard it was on me when my husband was diagnosed stage 3 colon cancer and the year of chemo he went through. I hope you have a lot of family and friends for caring support.

  • Hi there

i can’t offer you any stories about your husbands particular cancer but I can only advise you to read some of the stories on here from the survivors who all seem to have a positive attitude and great humour   Having things to look forward to and seeing all the wonderful people coming out the woodwork to help and friends you never knew you had males the journey a little easier. Writing a journal about your experiences and feelings also helps. You need to tell the people around you. Some will not understand but believe me you will open a well of heartfelt compassion for you and your husband. Sometimes you need to ask for help and this is one of those times. I will pray for your husband and you and wish you peace and love through this difficult journey.
